Newbery Chemists are a group of locally owned and operated pharmacies in the Copper Coast region of South Australia. The Newbery Chemists pharmacies are located in the towns of Kadina, Wallaroo, Moonta & Snowtown.

Newbery Chemists was established in 1908 in the town of Wallaroo by Ernest Ford Newbery and started trading as E.F. Newbery Chemist. Newbery Chemists has remained locally owned and run by the Newbery family until 2022. After 16 years as partner and General Manager of Newbery Chemists, Tim Gross is now the managing director in partnership with his father John.

Newbery Chemists Kadina is managed by Tim Gross, General Manager of Newbery Chemists. Our Kadina pharmacy is our biggest pharmacy with the broadest range of products. This pharmacy is also our head office where you will find our Aged Care Services Pharmacist Manager, our Business Manager, Sales Manager and all our other leaders offering support to the whole Newbery Chemists team.

Newbery Chemists Wallaroo is managed by our pharmacist Bernard, along with the support of his friendly team of experienced staff. Wallaroo is where it all started back in 1908, and while the faces have changed many times over the last 110 + years, the level of service and care for our patients is the same now as it was back then.

Newbery Chemists Snowtown is a depot pharmacy set-up to help the community of Snowtown and districts with all their pharmacy needs. While there is no pharmacist regularly onsite, our three pharmacy assistants each have many years of pharmacy and nursing experience. Come in and meet our friendly team today.
